The Tampa Bay Partnership is a non-profit organization supported by the financial commitments of over 175 private and public organizations.  These organizations and their leadership are committed to moving forward on a regional basis and promoting the region as a destination for business relocation and expansion.  Leaders in Citrus County agree with the mission of the Tampa Bay Partnership and became a member in 2010.

Today, Citrus County was able to showcase what the county has to offer and its thriving businesses.  More than 30 local leaders and local business owners were also in attendance and some were able to share with the group why they chose Citrus County to start their business and why it’s been so profitable.

Citrus County Commissioner and EDC President Joe Meek, EDC Executive Director John Seifert, and Chamber of Commerce CEO Josh Wooten spoke about several initiatives the County has to bring business here to the county.  Commissioner Meek said the EDC is doing everything it can to attract business.  “We are working hard to get that message out throughout the state, so people know Citrus County is open for business.”

The County also showed a short promotional video highlighting several aspects of the county including aviation expansion, both hospitals, Three Sisters Springs, and the planned extension of the Suncoast Parkway.
